NBC Universal expands Cambodia presence

PHNOM PENH - NBC Universal has launched its full suite of Asian channels in Cambodia.

NBC Universal expands Cambodia presence
The launch will see the Sci Fi, Universal, Hallmark and KidsCo channels begin broadcasting on 9 September, to make Cambodia the second market in Asia-Pacific after Singapore to carry all four channels.

Raymund Miranda, MD of NBC Universal Global Networks Asia-Pacific, called Cambodia “an exciting market”. It is the fourth in Asia-Pacific to launch Sci Fi and the second to launch Universal Channel this year.

The launch also marked the seventh Asian market for the KidsCo channel since its launch earlier this year.

Paul Robinson, MD of KidsCo, added: “We are delighted to be launching KidsCo into the Cambodian market. With a line-up of quality, learning-based and educational programming, parents recognise that KidsCo is a safe and responsible environment for children.”
