McCann hires Wunderman head as chief client officer for Japan

Antony Cundy moves to the IPG network after stints at Wunderman, Beacon and DDB.

TOKYO - McCann Worldgroup has appointed Antony Cundy as chief client officer in Japan, a newly created role. He was formerly CEO of Wunderman Japan.

Cundy has joined McCann after a relatively short (two-year) period leading Wunderman. He will report to Charles Cadell, McCann Worldgroup Japan’s president and CEO.

Cundy began his career in Japan in 2000 as an account director at Hakuhodo Lintas after studying at Tokyo University. He went on to work at DDB in Japan and London, and Beacon Communications.

McCann Worldgroup is the largest foreign agency in Japan. Clients include L'Oréal, Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, Eli Lilly, Walmart and Toyo Tires. Other recent senior appointments include those of Michel Mommejat and John Woodward.
