Ketchum China names Lau senior VP digital

BEIJING - Ketchum Greater China has named Clement Lau (pictured) as its new senior vice-president of digital communications, a newly created position.

Based in Beijing, Lau will head a team of new media experts in client servicing and technical support, and he will report to David Wong, general manager, Digital Business and Media Services, Greater China.

Lau has more than 15 years IT, technology and mobile communication experience in China, more recently working in the interactive media industry as CEO for XLink Media where he was involved in pioneering converged interactive media solutions to traditional TV media. 

Lau has also been active in the online reputation management sector and has previously consulted for Nokia as well as being a member of the Nitron Media Circle of Experts.

“Many clients in our region are struggling to comprehend how to embrace online channels to better manage their communications needs,” said Kenneth Chu, partner and CEO Ketchum Greater China. “Lau’s experience will be essential in building our digital services which will play a critical role in our service offerings in the future.”

“We are expanding the Ketchum digital division globally, combining the new media of web and mobile as well as traditional media components to enhance our PR practices for brand owner and customers,” Lau continued.

The Beijing digital unit has eight in its team.
