IPG Mediabrands HK appoints performance marketing leader

HONG KONG - IPG Mediabrands has appointed James Tagg as the director of performance marketing, overseeing digital and mobile initiatives for the agency group in Hong Kong.

Tagg joins the company from Havas Media in the UK where, as the head of mobile strategy, he led ideation and execution of mobile initiatives for the agency’s key clients such as Hyundai, Camelot and PayPal. Prior to that, he was the head of mobile at Starcom MediaVest Group, working with Emirates, Samsung and RIM.

Clients in Hong Kong want to take full advantage of the opportunities that exist with a maturity in digital marketing and a deeper understanding of its relevance in marketing communications plans, said Tagg.

In his new capacity, he reports to Kelvin Yim, head of performance marketing of IPG Mediabrands for the region.
