Upon securing this business, Hoffman Agency will be responsible for providing strategic counsel, media strategy, media relations, product awareness and corporate profiling for PayPal across the region.

According to the firm, the markets included would be Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and China, with Japan to follow in the near future. Furthermore, there will be an account lead in each market with a regional coordinator based in Singapore.

“Overall, the Hoffman Agency came out tops with a balance between strategic thinking and execution capabilities, with a proactive mindset and focus on ROI,” noted Dickson Seow, director of corporate communications at PayPal Asia Pacific.

PayPal’s service enables its members to send money without sharing financial information, with the flexibility to pay using their account balances, bank accounts, credit cards or promotional financing. Currently, it has 94 million active accounts across 190 markets and facilitates transactions in 24 currencies around the world.
