Grey HK wins creative duties for sunblock brands Hawaiian Tropic and Banana Boat in Asia

HONG KONG - Energizer Holdings Inc has extended Grey Hong Kong's agency-of-record scope to include its two sunblock brands Hawaiian Tropic and Banana Boat in the Asian market without a pitch.

Grey Hong Kong is currently the agency-of-record for Energizer Holding Inc's Playtex Infant Care brand in Asia.

Hawaiian Tropic and Banana Boat are two very popular sun protection brands in the US but have been relatively quiet in Asia in recent years. The former targets young adults while the latter is aimed at moms and families living active outdoor lives.

According to Desmond Chan, GM of Grey Hong Kong, their challenge is to ensure the successful and test proven formula in the US is culturally relevant to consumers in Asia.

The client uses MEC for as its media agency in the US, but has yet to confirm a media partner in Asia.

Earlier this year, Grey Shanghai won the creative account for Chinese wine brand ChangYu.
