Wood has been with Leo Burnett across three continents for 23 years, including seven years as CEO of Greater China.

"Michael’s leadership and his passion for our business and Leo Burnett will most certainly be missed, I feel nothing but respect and gratitude for Michael’s many contributions to our agency and our people," said Tom Bernardin, chairman and CEO of Leo Burnett Worldwide.

"He leaves the agency in a very strong position - an agency that has not only grown in both revenue and creative reputation, but one filled with highly talented people," he added.

Booth's appointment is effective as of 1 December. Bernardin said Booth has worked closely with Wood to build strong teams throughout Greater China, and he is confident the transition will be a smooth one.

“With the combined prowess of both Eddie and Jarek Ziebinski (president of Leo Burnett Asia-Pacific) at the helm of Greater China and the rest of Asia-Pacific, the result will be a strong Leo Burnett well positioned for the growth we expect in the near and long term future in this part of the world," said Bernardin.
