Local agency Well Advertising was the incumbent agency for Ascof Lagundi. The other three agencies that took part in the pitch were Ace Saatchi & Saatchi, Publicis Manila, and McKenzie.

The win adds to DM9 JaymeSyfu's portfolio of clients in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in the cough syrup category. The agency also holds the account for Pharex Carbocisteine, which is manufactured by Pascual Laboratories' subsidiary Pharex Health Corporation.

"Ascof Lagundi, the second biggest cough remedy in the country, is a very strong contender to the current market leader and presents an excellent opportunity for DM9 to showcase its brand building skills. We're elated with this new business win and we look forward to working with the dynamic brand team behind Ascof Lagundi," commented Ronald Barreiro, general manager at DM9 JaymeSyfu.

OMD Philippines is the media agency for Ascof Lagundi in the country.
