WE defeated 12 competing agencies to make the second round of the pitch and defeated seven in the final round.

Cyberport is Hong Kong's creative digital community and is wholly owned by the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

WE will be responsible for all corporate PR, marketing communications, digital programmes, partner communications and public affairs for Cyberport.

"After taking a very careful look at a lot of strong proposals, Cyberport's committee selected eight finalists for in-person presentations," said Herman Lam, CEO of Cyberport. "We studied and listened to all eight agencies' background, experience and expertise in tech and corporate PR during the screening process, and we found Waggener Edstrom Worldwide meeting all requirements. In addition, its team understands our particular business challenges well."

"What is really exciting is that we were able to win Cyberport's trust to shape its image and manage all local brand communications from the ground up," said Winnie Lai, WE vice-president, Greater China Region. "We have the talent and resources needed to get the job done brilliantly, and I am confident we will deliver."
