HONG KONG - New York-based brand licensing consultancy The Beanstalk Group has expanded its network into Asia with the opening of an office in Hong Kong.

Beanstalk looks to Asia for growth
The Omnicom Group firm will reportedly develop brand extension strategies for clients such as Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover and Samsonite in the region. The office in Hong Kong is to be led by licensing expert Josephine Law as director of brand development for Asia.

According to a statement from the company, Law will be responsible for developing and growing the licensing programmes of existing clients, as well as driving new business growth.

A statement from the company pointed to the growing presence of US and European luxury flagship stores in China, and increased opportunity in markets such as Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand, as an indication that the move was timely.

Prior to her involvement with Beanstalk, Law acted as global licensing director for British men’s underwear label Byford International. Her career has also seen stints in the publishing and footwear industries.

Law will report to Beanstalk’s London-based senior vice president, Ciarán Coyle.
