Hook was with Batey for three years and “wants to move on to a larger market, so this was an opportune time to make the move,” according to Alan Fairnington, Batey’s CEO.

“Hwee is a trusted Batey hand. She spent a significant part of her career with Batey and has a deep understanding of what makes us tick,” he added in a release. “With someone of her calibre onboard, we are confident of integrating Batey’s excellent creative output with the through-the-line capabilities of Grey Group.”

Under its new structure, Batey will continue to operate as a separate brand, but will tap into Grey’s specialist digital, activation and healthcare divisions.
