Jonathan Sanchez tipped to leave Unilever

SINGAPORE - Jonathan Sanchez, vice president, global communications and sustainability at Unilever, has resigned, according to sources.

Sanchez, who led communications responsibilities for Unilever across Russia, Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Australia, was overseeing the ‘blue U’ brand campaign for the FMCG major.

He is a PR specialist with 15 years of experience covering consumer brands, corporate communications, media management and internal communications. He joined Unilever in June 2011 after serving Edelman for two years as regional director, where he led consumer marketing across Asia Pacific.

He moved to Singapore from New York in January 2009 as Senior VP at Enfatico, where he did a short five-month stint before moving to Edelman. Earlier he served as global chief communications officer at JWT, IAC and Havas Worldwide. He also served as a board director at Freud Communications in the UK, where he managed the national Unilever, Nike and BT businesses for more than four years.
