French supermarket giant Carrefour calls creative pitch in Taiwan

Leo Burnett is the key creative agency for Carrefour in Taiwan, but local agency Inspire Ad won a project from the brand in Q4.

"Carrefour is probably the biggest advertiser in the retail category in Taiwan," a 4A agency executive commented. "You don't often get to see a pitch of this size in the country. I don’t know which agencies will be taking part, but the money is big anyway.”

Carrefour has 68 stores throughout Taiwan. The company is exploring a sale of its businesses in China and Taiwan, which would involve either an initial public offering in Hong Kong or combining some of its assets with another company, the Wall Street Journal has reported.
