HONG KONG - Marie-France slimming group has called a regional creative pitch for key markets in China, Hong Kong and South East Asia.

Agencies have been invited to pitch within the next two weeks.

An undisclosed industry source said that the brand has seen big growth, especially in China, as the number of overweight people threre is on the rise. In addition, the brand approaches new mothers with a premium service targeting affluent customers.

Hong Kong celebrity Christy Chung has been the brand's ambassador for a decade. Famed for her curves, the actress has touted the product for helping her shed extra kilograms after her pregnancies, including the recent birth of her third daughter.

Marie France Bodyline was originally established in Switzerland more than 20 years ago and now has a worldwide network of more than 200 centres including in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, Macau, Korea, China and Taiwan.
