Y&R has appointed Kittisak ‘Beer’ Poonnotok to the newly-created role of executive creative director, Y&R Indochina.

Based in Ho Chi Minh City, Beer will oversee creative operations across Y&R offices in Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos. Y&R Indochina was launched early in 2014.

Beer also replaces Y&R Vietnam chief creative officer Kit Ong, and will work alongside Y&R Indochina CEO Peter Skalberg.

The Thai native was previously with BBDO Singapore where he was associate creative director.

“Y&R was one of the first multinational networks to commit to this vibrant sub-region by establishing an Indochina operation. We are already seeing the business benefits of this, and we welcome Beer’s expertise to further leverage the significant creative potential here,” said Skalberg.
