UM China appoints Amy Peng as chief strategic officer

SHANGHAI – UM China has appointed Amy Peng as chief strategic officer, which will see her leading strategic planning solutions.

Peng will be based in Beijing with nationwide responsibilities and will report directly to UM China CEO Simon Woodward and COO Lisa Wei.

With 13 years' experience in advertising and media agencies on the Chinese mainland, Peng has held general manager positions at Saatchi & Saatchi, DraftFCB, Hantang Communications and Charm Communications. She began her career in Taiwan working for the marketing arm of Kimberly-Clark.

"She has a wealth of China experience, both in creative and media, which will augment and strengthen our team immensely," said Woodward.

Peng said she looked forward to "working closely with a group of dynamic media professionals."

"I hope my experiences in marketing and advertising add value to UM and its clients, particularly by contributing strategic engagements," she said.
