The digital version of the publication will be exactly like the print version, and it sets out to reach new readers, especially those from the East coast of Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak and overseas.
Other titles under The Edge Publications are expected to go digital subsequently.
Traditional media in Asia has been looking to venture onto the digital platform recently. The Straits Times in Singapore, for example, launched its iPad app in August.
Its sister Chinese daily, Lianhe Zaobao, also offered the web application for the iPad and Android last week.
