Tesco Lotus | Raises the Flag | Thailand

Thailand's Tesco Lotus has launched its first campaign after handing the creative business to Leo Burnett.

Tesco Lotus | Raises the Flag | Thailand
The ‘Raise the Flag’ campaign aims to avoid the usual tactical advertising for supermarket chains, focusing in stead on how Tesco ‘cares’ for Thai people. Consumers can now benefit from the everyday promotions of Tesco’s Roll Back and Super Save strategies.

The commercial is intended to raise public spirit to fight against the economic downturn, and features genuine Tesco senior executives and staff.

On-Usa Lamliengpol, CEO of Leo Burnett Bangkok. “We want the Thai people to see that nobody tries harder for their customers than Tesco Lotus does.” The agency hopes offset the perception of mega corporations by showing a more human side to the retail giant.

The integrated campaign will run for three months starting in July.

Leo Burnett was awarded the account in May this year.
