Starcom Mediavest makes senior appointments in Philippines

MANILA - Starcom MediaVest Group has announced the appointments of Meg Arcilla as LiquidThread director and Onel Querijero as trading director to boost its trading, branded content and activation capabilities in the Philippines.

At SMG, Arcilla will manage and develop best practices for content and activation for Liquidthread, SMG's content division. She was previously activations director at GroupM Philippines, where she oversaw all GroupM initatiated ground activations. Prior to GroupM, Arcilla was marketing manager for special events at SM Supermalls. She has also worked at Dentsu Philippines and Nickelodeon. 

Querijero joins SMG from Maxus Philippines, where he was general manager since 2009. He has previously worked at Mindshare Philippines as media director. He has dealt with clients including Shell, SC Johnson, Kimberly Clark, GSK, Nissan, The Bel Group, Ferrero Rocher, Sharp, Bvlgari, Calvin Klien, HSBC and Nike. He will oversee trading agreements and negotiations with media owners and vendors across media platforms in the country. 

Both Archilla and Querijero will report to Joanna Mojica, managing director of SMG Philippines. 

"Trading, content, and activation are three key areas which we have identified to grow this year," said Mojica.
