Sanofi elevates Audrey Duval Derveloy to global head of corporate affairs

Sanofi has promoted Audrey Duval Derveloy to EVP and global head of corporate affairs, effective July 1. Based in Paris, Duval Derveloy wll report to CEO Paul Hudson in this position. 

In her new role, Duval Derveloy will be responsible for Sanofi’s stakeholder engagement globally and oversee the company’s corporate social responsibility strategy, not-for-profit global health unit and Sanofi’s philanthropic arm, Foundation S, the pharmaceutical company said in a statement. 

Josep Catllà, who previously headed global corporate communications at Sanofi, will become EVP and chief corporate affairs officer at biopharmaceutical company Ipsen, effective August 19. 

Duval Derveloy has been president of Sanofi France since she joined the company in 2022. She will retain her role as president in addition to the global head title and will continue supporting and coordinating Sanofi’s representation to external stakeholders in the country. 

She will also join the company’s executive committee as part of her new title. 

Prior to Sanofi, Duval Derveloy was country president for Novartis’ operations in Ireland. 

Sanofi is a French pharmaceutical and healthcare company headquartered in Paris, France. The company’s Q1 operating income fell 14.7% to $3.04 billion. Q2 results for 2024 are expected to be announced on July 25. 

Earlier this year, Ruder Finn partnered with new client Sanofi on a campaign with Super Bowl XLVIII halftime performer Usher to encourage people to take a type 1 diabetes test.
