Profero appoints Gavin Coombes as Asia-Pacific CEO

ASIA-PACIFIC - Gavin Coombes has been appointed to the newly created role of Asia-Pacific CEO for independent communications agency Profero.

Coombes joins from his position as Asia-Pacific CEO for Future Brand.

Commenting on his appointment, Coombes said, “Profero is that rarest of breeds, an independent global network. They match media-neutral thinking with cutting-edge digital creative and execution, making them the perfect agency model for this time, this world and this region. I am proud to have this role.”

Coombes has experience working across public affairs, on-and offline advertising, CRM, brand consulting and design alongside major international brands including Intel, Microsoft, Carrefour and Caltex. Prior to his stint at Future Brand, Coombes managed the regional marketing services division at Euro RSCG. His first role in the region was corporate communications director at Visa International.

Profero global CEO Wayne Arnold adds that the agency has experienced double digit growth off the back of global relationships with Diageo, Lufthansa and Pepsi. "Asia is crucial to our global strategy and demand is high, with Gavin's unique blend of digital and traditional marketing understanding he will be a great addition to our team," he said.

Coombes' appointment coincides with the opening of the agency's South Korea office Profero Seoul. The operation will be overseen by managing director of Profero Tokyo Peter Moody.
