Edwards, who is currently managing partner at Profero’s Sydney office, will take on the new role in early January.

Apart from Singapore, Profero has offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Tokyo and Seoul.

“It’s got to the point where we’re attracting a lot of regional clients, which is why Singapore has become our regional hub,” said the newly appointed MD.

In Sydney, Edwards was instrumental in launching Profero Way, a customer-centric approach to digital marketing. Pointing to the Singapore Tourism board, which recently called a pitch to appoint a digital agency, Edwards said there is already a demand amongst Singapore-based organisations to incorporate this approach.

Prior to his nine years at Profero, he has held a number of senior digital marketing roles in Australia and the UK, including positions at TBWA and APL Digital.

Once in Singapore, Edwards will be looking to move the current office to a new premises. Part of the plan is also to recruit talent to the agency.
