Previously Duke was business director at Santo in London where he managed the Vodafone and Nestle business.

He reports to Ogilvy Indonesia Group CEO Renuka Jaypal and assumes day-to-day responsibilities for the advertising unit, which handles major brands from Unilever, Nestle, Konimex and Coca Cola.

Indonesia has been flagged as one of the key markets that will contribute to the overall global increase in advertising spend in 2011, with an expected US$1 billion-plus in spending growth, while China and the US are expected to contribute at least US$5 billion.

Jaypal said that with O&M’s continuous growth within the Indonesian market, combined with a prediction in increase of ad spend for 2011, they feel now is the perfect time to invest in the future of the senior management at Ogilvy Indonesia.

Added David Mayo, president of Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Asia Pacific  "Martin comes to Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Indonesia as part of  our  perpetual hunt for the best talent. He joins a successful, growing and  progressive agency at a time when clients demand and deserve connected and  integrated  communications. I know Martin will have a catalytic effect on our future success in Indonesia."
