Microsoft has new GM for online services

HONG KONG - Leslie Chu (pictured), Microsoft's country manager in Hong Kong and Macao, has been promoted to GM of Microsoft, online services group, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, replacing country manager for Taiwan Geena Lin, who will also take up a regional role in the company.

Microsoft has new GM for online services
Chu will report to Erik Johnson, GM for Greater China, and work closely with Richard Dunmall, GM for Microsoft Advertising, Greater Asia Pacific. His main duties will be managing the company’s online media sales including MSN, Hotmail, Messenger and Windows Live Spaces.

Chu joined the software giant in 2004 as head of MSN Hong Kong, prior to that he served as e-commerce group head of CLP Group, as well as stints with Yahoo! and Lycos in Asia.
