Marriott Executive Apartments | You Live Here | Global

Hotels ads are known for their opulence and promise of impeccable service, but Marriott International has adopted a 'Home sweet home' theme in a global push for its Executive Apartments brand.

Publicis and Publicis Modem Hong Kong have joined hands to create a full above-the-line campaign with television, print and online components. “The apartments were seen as an extension of the hotel offering - which is transient and temporary in nature. Now we are making a clear distinction that this is a place where you can be at home,” said Sue McCusker, general manager of Publicis Hong Kong.

The branding campaign for Marriott Executive Apartments (MEA) uses simplicity to comfort travelers finding themselves a long way from home. Titled ‘You Live Here’, the creative concept sets MEA apart from other serviced apartments, which usually sell themselves on space and convenience.

The full-length short film featured on Marriott’s ‘Living at MEA’ site begins with the different mailboxes that belong to different travelers in their executive apartments. With soft lighting and earth-coloured tones, the ad captures the personal moments of the travelers behaving as if they were in their own homes.

The campaign will also air on television in four commercial series and print ads across Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and South America.

Publicis’ involvement in this global push comes after several worldwide projects for Marriott Resorts and Western Union. A recently project centred on the re-launch of JW Marriott in Hong Kong.
