Horror movie fans now have the chance to get their work featured in an Australian production titled ‘Redd Inc’.

Independent Australian horror film Redd Inc calls for user-generated content

Independent film producer Jonathon Green is behind this user-generated feature film titled Redd Inc.

“This is the first dramatic feature film in the world to incorporate user-generated content in this way,” he said.

The final version will be launched online at  Reddincthemovie.com. Fans are asked to create a 30-second commercial for one of three fictional products including ‘Baby Cages’ for little terrors running rampant, hair loss treatment ‘Innovative Follicles’ that takes hair from dead corpses and ‘The Lansdale Clinic’, an institution offering care for the violently insane, as well as experimental chemical and surgical techniques.

Green continued, “Advertising professionals wanting to have a bit of fun with the horror genre and ordinary people with creative ambition will have the chance to see a 30-second commercial they directed appear on a television in a movie scene.”

The best work, determined by public vote, will be included in the final movie. The entry deadline is midnight on 31 October, also Halloween.

“Our advice to anyone thinking about getting involved is to have fun with the horror genre, enjoy the experience, stay on message and don’t be afraid of exploring some black comedy,” said Green.
