Hill+Knowlton Strategies bolster Hong Kong management team with three senior appointments

HONG KONG - Hill+Knowlton Strategies Hong Kong has three new members on their management team: Joey Chan and Virginia Ngai as directors and May Chan Rhodes as media trainer for crisis management.

Chan joined Hill+Knowlton Strategies as director, corporate communications and government / public affairs with 15 years of experience specializing in corporate communications, public affairs and issues/crisis communications, and has worked at Dairy Farm, Edelman, Kowloon-Canton Railway and MTR, where she has built strong relationships with media partners and government stakeholders.

Ngai takes up the role of director, digital communications and consumer marketing, bringing 11 years of experience to the team. She joins from Grebstad Hicks Communications Hong Kong where she served as digital media director. Prior to that, she was a senior editor with Edipresse, and also has extensive agency experiences with MRM and Ogilvy PR.

While Rhodes is well-equipped as the new clients account director and media trainer for crisis planning and communications training, having a decade of experience in journalism, including being a business reporter at the South China Morning Post, where she covered business assignments that included trend stories, business features and profile pieces of individuals and companies within the financial sector.

The three will report directly to John Morgan, chief operating officer, H+K Strategies Asia and managing director, H+K Strategies Hong Kong, who has also recently joined, from Golin Harris, as reported in March.

Morgan commented that theses appointment is part of their overall strategy to strengthen their ability to deliver clients the highest level of senior communications counsel, and significantly enhance their capabilities in the different specialty areas.
