Tou, a seasoned corporate and financial public relations professional, was most recently a director for Golin Harris-Weber Shandwick in Taipei and Shanghai. He returns to Taipei after three years in Shanghai where he was responsible for managing numerous clients’ communication needs at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.

Meanwhile James Park relocates from Edelman Los Angeles and joins Edelman Taiwan as head of global business. He was most recently a senior member of the technology and digital team in its LA office.  He will be responsible for servicing Edelman’s global clients in Taiwan and building the global client base with an emphasis on the technology sector.

“Taiwan is a highly competitive PR consulting market dominated by local boutique players, as a result many global firms have exited the market in recent years” said Damian Coory, managing director at Edelman Hong Kong and Taiwan. “Edelman has demonstrated its continued commitment in Taiwan since 1997."

He added, “James’ global perspective and insight and Peter’s deep understanding of his Taipei home and the importance of its business links with Shanghai, will also bring broad geographic and cultural insights to clients.”
