David Wagner appointed director of communications training at Edelman Japan

TOKYO - Edelman Japan has appointed David Wagner as director of its communications training group.

Wagner's appointment to this newly created position takes effect immediately. He was most recently head of the training team at Kreab Gavin Anderson Japan. 

Over the past 10 years, he has trained more that 3,000 spokespersons for more than 140 organisations. He has also authored 20 books on business communication and media management and created and hosted two national TV series on international business skills for Japan's national TV station NHK.

Ross Rowbury, president of Edelman Japan, commented on the new role, “The further evolution of public relations in Japan is creating a need for professional interaction with both traditional and social media when engaging with stakeholders.

"David’s unequaled depth of experience as both a trainer and authority on media and crisis handling will make a strong contribution to the on-going growth of the Edelman business in Japan.”

Wagner's resume also includes stints at Fuji Xerox Learning Institute and Prudential Relocation Management.
