Cimarron Group takes on China

BEIJING - The Cimarron Group, a US-based marketing agency specialising in digital content, has opened its first office in mainland China.

Cimarron Group takes on China

The new Beijing office will serve to consolidate the company’s presence in the region as it seeks to market China’s film and television industries, particularly through the use of social media.

Following the 2009 launch of the company’s Singapore office, the Beijing opening signifies a definite commitment to the burgeoning business opportunities in the pan-Asian region.

In addition to its film projects, the agency will also look to broader marketing and branding campaigns. The new office has already secured a key account, for MGM Grand Hospitality. Group CEO Robert J. Farina said that the US arm of the group had already worked with key entertainment clients such as Wynn and Cirque du Soleil. “Our expansion into the hospitality sector in China was a natural progression for our team,” he added. The Beijing team has already been put to work on branding plans for the MGM Grand Sanya Resort, scheduled to open later this year in Hainan, China.
