HONG KONG - Elaine Chow (pictured) of Next Media Limited will add the chief marketing officer role to her existing position as corporate creative officer.

Chow’s expanded role will now also cover marketing, brand image and promotion, and new business development of Next Media, primarily in Hong Kong but eventually in the rest of Greater China.

One of her new marketing initiatives includes Next Media’s first Hong Kong print creative advertising awards, scheduled to take place in late 2008.

“We want the award to be a true representation of talent in the print advertising industry, so unlike other media organisations which only count entries from those who have advertised in their own channels, we are open for entries from Hong Kong and Asia-Pacific,” Chow said.

“There will probably also be the ‘Worst of the Year’ award”.

Chow was ECD at Thematic Advertising from 2004 to 2006 and CD with DraftFCB from 2003 to 2004.
