Cakebread is now charged with overseeing BBDO/Proximity Live’s client portfolio and the 30-strong team.

He has experience in working at Fleishman-Hillard in Beijing, Shanghai and Australia. His client experience track record includes Procter & Gamble, The Walt Disney Company, General Motors, LVMH and Sara Lee.

His most recently job was at Fleishman-Hillard Sydney, where he had a dual role as VP and head of consumer marketing for the Australia market, and a regional role as Asia Pacific practice group leader for business-to-consumer marketing.

"Over the last year, our clients have come to us with increasingly challenging assignments that require a greater level of strategic consulting and execution ability,” commented Tan.

“Nick brings with him a strong track record in managing and growing teams and deep expertise in marketing communications that would help our clients communicate with China’s high net worth consumers,” he added.

The appointment follows a series of high profile assignments since the start of the year with Tiffany & Co., Tag Heuer and Christie’s.

Meanwhile, BBDO/Proximity is set to launch a retail and shopper marketing operation in Singapore called Proximity Shop.
