Tze-kiat Tan, GM and Wai-Foong Leong ECD of BBDO/Proximity China, have been promoted to the roles of MD and ECD of BBDO/Proximity Greater China, respectively.

“Tzekiat, Leong and I have worked closely together for more than four years. We form an indivisible triangle,” said Potter. “BBDO/Proximity China has experienced remarkable progress in the past three years and in no small part it is owing to the strength of our partnership. Both Leong and Tze are more than ready to take on greater responsibilities with me.”

A number of China executives are also assuming new roles. Hans Lopez-Vito, previously strategic planning director, will step up from his Shanghai responsibility to become executive planning director of BBDO/Proximity China.

Rick Dorr, regional account director for Wrigley, is named as managing director of BBDO/Proximity Hong Kong and Guangzhou.

Kevin Bogusz, previously business director, takes up a key role as regional business director for Greater China.

Both Dorr and Bogusz have both worked for over six years at BBDO New York before moving to China.

Several business directors have also been promoted. Sharlene Wu moves up to become director of client service in Shanghai, while Chris Leung is promoted to executive business director.

Kit Koh and Andrew Lok have both been named to executive creative partners.

Potter added: "I have an outstanding team and one that has been with me for a long time. Every one of us is committed to take BBDO/Proximity Greater China forward to even greater success."

BBDO/Proximity Greater China team has offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Grangzhou, Hong Kong and Taiwan, with key regional including PepsiCo Food, A.S.Watson, Mercedes-Benz, Johnson & Johnson and Procter & Gamble.

Last November, Oliver Xu joined BBDO Beijing as MD from a parallel role at JWT Beijing.
