ANZ creative agency pitch nears conclusion

MELBOURNE – ANZ Bank is believed to be down to a shortlist of agencies to handle its global branding business valued at over US$55 million.

This follows the integration of its business to incorporate former RBS assets acquired post global financial crisis (GFC.)

A short statement from ANZ’s global headquarters in Melbourne states, “We are (currently) benchmarking our current creative agencies to ensure the best possible outcome for ANZ’s brand across all the markets we operate."

While the bank’s official line prefers to avoid the term pitch, in favour of benchmarking, the process is thought to be nearing some conclusion.

Agencies linked to the benchmarking are believed to include DDB, incumbent M&C Saatchi and Whybin TBWA Melbourne.
