Allan takes on MediaCom global leadership

LONDON - MediaCom has named former GroupM UK CEO Stephen Allan (pictured) as its new global chairman and CEO.

Allan takes on MediaCom global leadership
Allan succeeds Alexander Schmidt-Vogel, who has taken on the newly-created role of CEO of global trading at GroupM Worldwide.

Prior to becoming GroupM UK CEO in 2005, Allan was MD of The Media Business, which merged with MediaCom in 1999. As MediaCom TMB CEO, Allan led the new agency to the number one position in the market, and also served as vice-chairman of MediaCome Worldwide from 2003 until 2005.

“Stephen has invested his heart in the MediaCom and GroupM networks over the years,” said GroupM CEO Irwin Gotlieb. “When the opportunity came up for him to continue shaping and growing the business in a significant, potent manner, he jumped at the chance.”
