Valspar Paint launches branded product in Australia

SYDNEY - Valspar Paint, a US-based manufacturer of paint and coatings, has launched its own branded product to the premium DIY market through Masters Hardware & Danks Corporate stores in Australia.

wide player in 16:9 format. Used on article page for Campaign.

Valspar has positioned itself as 'The future of paint', according to Philippa Durant, general manager of consumer marketing ANZ at Valspar.

A new campaign, created by Draftfcb, will run across TV, online and POS.

The 30-second TV spot (above) uses RealFlow liquid animation to evoke a contemporary, vibrant and innovative feel for the paint. The TVCs also include a 15-second version.

DIY painters will be able to use the palette of colour inspiration tools on the website to find the right colour shade.

“This campaign, beautifully produced by Heckler, Drifter, Electric Art & Nylon Studios, is a lovely blend of inspiration and information—a personality suitably reflective of the Valspar brand,” said Simon Edwards, creative director of Draftfcb.

Draftfcb Sydney won the Valspar brand account after a four-way pitch in August. Valspar Paint also owns the Wattyl and Solver brands in Australia.
