Carat will also work with the Dutch company on certain briefs in China, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam over the next couple of years.

The move comes just months after the company awarded its creative mandate to Interpublic's Lowe and Partners for its brands across the region.

“FrieslandCampina has a very clear idea of what they want to achieve in the region, and the appointment shows they are confident that Carat can deliver,” said Sean O’Brien, CEO for Carat APAC.

The brand's products include dairy-based beverages, infant and toddler nutrition and branded cheese.
