McDonald's celebrates new year with positive thoughts

THE PHILIPPINES - McDonald’s has launched a campaign, entitled ‘Hooray for today’, to start the brand new year with happy and hopeful thoughts.

Developed by Leo Burnett Manila, the campaign suggests that a happy day starts with McDonald's' breakfast offerings through a one-minute TVC.

The TVC shows a young man driving in a city, starting his day with a McDonald’s meal. He then sees “surprises” throughout his journey, such as construction workers making a building with Lego blocks, a teddy bear driving a car, and a little girl with a Pegasus.

While the focus of the campaign is the breakfast offerings, Margot Torres, vice-president for marketing of McDonald's Philippines, said the idea of celebrating the positive side of the day comes through.
