Eveready Industries | PowerCell | India

Indian battery brand PowerCell is looking to differentiate itself beyond product benefits as a way of life with a new television campaign developed by Rediffusion DYR.

Set in a middle-class community, the advertisement presents a typical neighbourhood story fraturing mischievous children and a grumpy old lady who everyone fears. However, lending a helping hand when needed is shown to bring out the good in everyone. The campaign’s slogan translates as ‘Now, where’s the darkness!’

Indian battery manufacturer Eveready acquired PowerCell in 2005. According to the agency, the creative challenge was to convey more than the fundamental functionality of the product.
