The appointment was made after a credentials presentation that involved four other agencies last month. The agencies involved in the presentation were not disclosed.

Lowe Malaysia will initially run a countrywide, through-the-line communications campaign for Yogen Früz to establish its brand presence and drive traffic to retail outlets.

“Lowe likes to be part of new ventures, helping a company to grow and succeed,” said Mazuin Zin, managing director at Lowe Malaysia. “Our work with Yogen Früz provides us with an exciting new challenge.”

Established in Canada in 1986, Yogen Früz has more than 1,300 outlets operating across 35 countries. New venture Timeless Commitment holds the master franchise for Yogen Früz across Malaysia and Brunei.

Yogen Früz ventured into Malaysia early this year, and currently has a total of five outlets in the market. A sixth outlet is set to be launched by the end of the year at the KLCC shopping mall.

“We see similar / familiar synergies in this partnership that will take us to the next levels in the market,” said Nurbaya Hamzah, chief executive officer at Timeless Commitment. “We are a new player in Malaysia, so there is no choice but to succeed.”
