Ong joins from Hewlett-Packard, where she spent 12 years and most recently headed both its influencer communications division and enterprise marketing for the imaging and printing group in Asia-Pacific. She brings with her close to two-decades of in-house and agency experience in the field and has worked with Fraser and Neave and Burson-Marsteller.

In her new role, Ong is tasked with shaping VIMN's communications strategy and will lead the network's external and internal communications efforts across its portfolio of brands. She will be based in Singapore and report to VIMN Asia's executive vice-president and managing director, Indra Suharjono.

Ong's extensive experience will be instrumental in developing Viacom's communications strategies in the region, said Suharjono.
