Tourism Malaysia appoints Mango Communications in New Zealand

AUCKLAND - Tourism Malaysia has appointed Mango Communications as its public relations agency in New Zealand, with a brief to promote Malaysia as a holiday and conference destination.

Under the tagline ‘Malaysia, Truly Asia’, Mango will promote different destinations within the country, from eco-tourism in Sabah and Sarawak, shopping in Kuala Lumpur, beach resorts in Langkawi and on the east coast, to the cultural history of Melaka.

The account will be led by Mango senior account director, Jen Ferguson.

“Malaysia is an exciting destination and we’re thrilled to be working with Tourism Malaysia to show more Kiwis the delights it has to offer,” said Claudia Macdonald, managing director at Mango NZ.

"Tourism Malaysia is very pleased to welcome the experience and enthusiasm of Mango to our Malaysia, Truly Asia campaign - a move which reflects our commitment to the ever-increasing New Zealand market travelling to Malaysia,” added Simon Bracken, marketing manager of Tourism Malaysia.

Mango Communications also work with other travel clients include Tourism Victoria, Tourism Holdings and Air New Zealand.
