Tokyo Tokyo | Sailormoon | Philippines

Tokyo Tokyo, a Japanese fast-food restaurant in the Philippines, is surprising consumers with a comical parody of the popular anime Sailormoon.

The restaurant chain has always had advertising strategy that uses 'irreverence’ to create more impact. This time Tokyo Tokyo is promoting its fried chicken karaage. It says the unique taste will 'transform you’.

The creative team at Campaigns & Grey Philippines said the 'wacky’ idea was taken from the Sailormoon campaign, in which ordinary schoolgirls were chosen and transformed into heroes to fight evil.

The campaign also includes print and radio ads airing nationwide.
