Ogilvy & Mather hosts Portfolio Night 10 for young talent in Beijing & Shanghai

Ogilvy & Mather China has once again signed on to host IHAVEANIDEA’s annual Portfolio Night event, marking the third time in four years of doing so.

This year, IHAVEANIDEA’s Portfolio Night in Beijing and Shanghai is the largest global simultaneous advertising portfolio review where top renowned creative directors will meet with thousands of aspiring young hopeful copywriters, art directors and designers in one night to advise, network and recruit. Every candidate who attends the event will get 45 minutes of undivided attention with three top creatives.

“Portfolio Night is a unique opportunity for students who want a career in advertising to show their ideas to the best creative people. At Ogilvy, we are committing to offering a handful of internships to candidates. At my previous agency in London I hired a young man that I met at Portfolio Night six years ago; he recently moved to Shanghai and now we’re working together again here. So these are real, potentially life-changing opportunities. There is nothing else like it, so beg, borrow or steal a ticket,” said O&M China's chief creative officer Graham Fink.

Ignacio Oreamuno, president of IHAVEANIDEA, added, “As May 23 will mark the tenth edition of Portfolio Night, we aim to produce the best portfolio review event the world has seen to date.”

IHAVEANIDEA is one of the oldest and longest running community for the international advertising industry. Founded in 2001 by Oreamuno, IHAVEANIDEA was conceived as an online resource for passionate advertising professionals to share their knowledge and experience, challenge the norms and collectively push each other, with the belief that such an exchange would benefit all within the industry.

The cost to participate is US$10 (RMB 60). The deadline to register and pay online is 20 May. Tickets will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.
