MSL Group Asia makes regional appointments

ASIA-PACIFIC - MSL Group Asia, Publicis Groupe’s flagship speciality communications, PR and events network, today announced two regional senior appointments to support the network's growth plans in the region.

Josh Shapiro has been appointed as vice-president for operations and client solutions and Ricardo Roces has been hired as regional finance director.

Shapiro will oversee regional functions including client development, finance and operations, agency marketing and talent in his expanded role. He will continue to report to Glenn Osaki, president of MSL Group Asia.

Shapiro joined the MSL Group Asia team in January 2008, transferring from the MSL Group Atlanta office’s business development team, and previously served as business director for MSL Group Asia. He will continue to be based in Beijing.

Roces will be based in Singapore, relocating from New York, where he has been serving as MSL Group global controller. Roces’ new role will encompass responsibility for all finance operations in Asia, working closely with finance directors across the regional network and key clients. He has seven years experience at MSL Group.

The appointments add to the agency's four acquisitions in the last six months with 20:20 MEDIA and 2020Social in India, Eastwei Relations in China and Interactive Communications in Taiwan. The network also recently announced the launch of a global design and creative offering named Creative+, based in India and has expanded its digital and social media team.
