The account was awarded to Up and Maxus following a five-agency tender process.

The ministry's next advertising and recruitment drive is set to break in September.

On retaining the account, Anand A. Vathiyar, MD of Up Brandbuzz, said, "MOE is a key account for us and we're happy that what we have done since 2007 has gone some ways in helping MOE recruit and retain more teachers."

He added, "It is one profession that can truly stand by its positioning of ‘making a difference' and we hope we continue to make a difference on the account as well."

Shrivathsa Raghunathan, executive business director, at Maxus Singapore, said: "MOE is one of our top clients and we're absolutely delighted to renew the partnership with MOE."

He added: "The creative media placements we have done over the years has helped MOE in its recruitment drive and created a lot of buzz about MOE in mainstream media as well as among the trade. We're looking forward to bringing to market more such exciting work in the coming months."
