The client previously conducted its media planning in-house and mainly used print ads in photography trade magazines. The brand's products are currently on sale at selected photography retail shops for professional photographers, however, it wants to expand to the mass market and explore new media opportunities.

Cecilia Chan, MD of MediaCom Hong Kong, said, “The client has not fully optimised its media channel mix in the past, especially with online media like forums to reach out to photography enthusiasts."

MediaCom Hong Kong has previously worked on the Sony account, which has a huge mass-market appeal.

Manfrotto designs, manufactures and markets a wide range of camera and lighting support equipment for the professional photographic, film, theater, live entertainment and video markets. The product line includes an extensive range of camera tripods and heads, lighting stands and accessories for brands like National Geographic.

Manfrotto products are sold by its own distribution companies, Manfrotto Distribution, in China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, the UK and the United States, plus independent distributors in over 65 countries around the world.
