The account is believed to be worth around US$6 million.

Neil Stewart, Maxus Asia-Pacific CEO, said the agency was chosen because of the team's creative approach to planning in the “complicated and dynamic market”.

“Perfetti is a fantastic organisation with some great brands," he said. "We have had a long association with them in India producing award-winning work and are delighted to be now working with Perfetti in Indonesia.”

Meanwhile, Guido Zaballero has joined Maxus as managing director of its Philippines business.

Zaballero has more than 20 years experience in marketing and communications, most recently working for SMART mobile as its head of integrated marketing and trade communications.

Stewart said Maxus’ business in the Philippines is an important contributor to the Southeast Asia region, adding that Zabellero will help continue its growth and expand the services offered to clients.

Zabellero added, “The consumer and the media landscape continue to change and I look forward to working with the Maxus team in facing these challenges head on and ensuring continued success in the future.”

Correction: This story initially stated listed Initiative as the incumbent agency. This was found to be incorrect. The incumbent has not been confirmed.
