Mark Jarrett, Paul Elliot, and Dan Sinfield promoted within OMD Australia

SYDNEY - OMD Australia has announced a series of promotions amongst its most senior staff, with Mark Jarrett becoming managing director of OMD Sydney, Paul Elliott becoming head of digital, direct and data; and Dan Sinfield now working in the newly created role of head of trading and implementation.

All three have also been named as part of an expanded 12-person executive team for OMD Australia.

Jarrett was most recently general manager of OMD Sydney. His elevation to the top job for that agency comes after it secured a host of new business in 2011, including the coveted Tourism Australia account.

Eliott had been heading OMD Digital over the past 18 months, having been lured back from the UK for the role. He will now lead the newly-formed digital, direct and data team nationally. Peter Horgan, CEO of OMD Australia, says the new team will be an important asset in the digital sphere.

“With the greater convergence of skill sets and the increasing integration of tools, systems and processes used by our digital, direct and search teams, it made sense to combine these historically data focused disciplines into one overarching division.," he said. "Paul’s unique skill set in both digital and response channels made him the perfect candidate to lead this new team.”

Sinfield meanwhile will also take on a newly-created role. He was most recently business director on OMD Australia's McDonald's account, and will now lead trading and implementation throughout the network. He will work closely with national heads of trading Melissa Hey, Simon Davies and Jo Dick, as well as newly-appointed Melbourne head of trading Margie Reid to extract the best in market deals.

“These new appointments will ensure we continue to stay ahead of the curve in our pursuit of excellence," Horgan said. "The fact that we have been able to promote from within is testament to the talent and depth of capability we have within OMD."
