
According to Tay he is taking time to recharge, rethink and reflect on his next move. His resignation takes effect at the beginning of January next year.
Speaking of his resignation, Vivian Lines, president and COO APAC at H&K, said, "After more than 11 years with H&K, Jimmy Tay has decided to resign to take a break from work and determine what new challenges are out there to pursue.
Tay joined H&K in October 1999 as deputy managing director for the agency in Singapore. He was promoted to managing director of Singapore in 2000, vice-president of Asia-Pacific in 2001, senior vice-president of Asia-Pacific in 2003 and finally chief executive of Southeast Asia in 2005, overseeing the agency's offices in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand and a network of affiliate offices in Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines.
Tay was also named Asia-Pacific PR Agency Head of the Year at Campaign's PR Awards in 2009.
